Press | Architectural Digest 10/2020 – Mediterranean holiday feeling in the heart of Hamburg-Altona
In the October 2020 issue of Architectural Digest Janina Krinke shows how she designed her light-filled summer house with Mediterranean flair in the heart of Hamburg-Altona.
With great attention to detail, she has transformed the former apartment from 1890 into an airy oasis of well-being that combines the lightness and elegance of southern France with northern German charm.
With custom-made furniture, sunny yellow accents, and select design pieces from Sarah Lavoine, B&B Italia, and Tacchini, Krinke creates an atmosphere reminiscent of the Côte d'Azur—but on the Elbe River. Particularly exciting highlights include the cleverly designed guest bed above the bathtub and the outdoor shower in the garden, which transform everyday life into a holiday experience.
Janina Krinke, founder of Bon Voyage Interieur, has lived and worked in the apartment for 16 years and, with her style that combines retro chic with casual elegance, has created a true Hamburg design gem.
