A design piece with cult status: The Bagdad lamp was designed in 1954 by the French-Hungarian designer Mathieu Matégot and is one of the most iconic objects of its time. Its sculptural, almost cubist form with a touch of retro-futurism gives it a strong visual presence without dominating the space.
In this new edition from GUBI, the Bagdad lamp is half its original size – compact, rechargeable, and versatile. The perforated metal structure remains intact, while modern technology makes its way in: An integrated touch dimmer with three brightness levels provides atmospheric lighting, completely wireless.
