Turbo pendant light by Gubi
We only offer this piece upon request or in our store in Hamburg .
A classic of sculptural lighting design: The Turbo pendant light , designed by Louis Weisdorf in 1965 and first produced in 1967, impressively combines lightness, structure and timeless elegance.
Inspired by the airy grace of Japanese rice paper lamps, it was crafted from robust materials to combine its delicate appearance with lasting stability. The lampshade consists of twelve spirally arranged slats that form a flower-like sphere—an expressive design object with a soft, glare-free light.
The Turbo is typical of Weisdorf's work: a play with recurring elements, geometric harmony and sophisticated technology.
